PLUMBER WEB DESIGN Emergency calls. And renovations.

Plumber website design has a problem no other trade has quite as badly. You have two customers and they want opposite things. One is standing in six inches of water at two in the morning. The other has been comparing bathroom photos for a month and has not rung anybody yet. One site has to answer both without slowing either of them down.

The problem

The burst pipe does not read your About page, and the renovation does not ring the first result. Build the site for one of them and you lose the other, which is what almost every plumbing website in the country quietly does.

Two customers

One panics.One researches.

The emergency customer is the easier of the two to lose. They are on a phone, often at night, usually in a hurry and frequently annoyed. They will ring the first result that looks like it is awake and covers where they live, and they are checking three things: can I get someone tonight, do you come to my suburb, and roughly what is this going to cost me before anyone turns up. That last one is the question most plumbing sites refuse to answer, and it is the reason people ring four numbers instead of one. A stated call-out fee, even a range, converts better than the silence its absence creates.

The renovation customer behaves nothing like that. A bathroom is weeks of looking, and they are comparing you against photo galleries, reviews and whoever their neighbour used. They want to see finished work that resembles what they are picturing, they want to know how long you will be in the house and what happens when something is found behind a wall, and they want the process explained before they ask for a quote. None of that is urgent, all of it is decided long before contact, and a site built purely for emergencies gives them nothing to look at.

So the site gets built as two paths from the same front door. Emergency work gets the tappable number, the hours, the areas and the fee expectation on every page it touches. Renovation and planned work gets the gallery, the process and the timeline. Blocked drains, hot water, leak detection and gas fitting each get a page of their own, because that is how the searches are actually typed and because your licence and your gas fitting authorisation belong where the person reading is already thinking about risk.

Every decision on a plumbing website comes back to which of the two you are serving at that moment, and the answer changes from page to page.

How we build it

Five steps.Then live.

Step one decides the whole shape of the site, and it is a business question rather than a design one: which half of the work do you actually want more of.

The same five steps run on every build, Starter through to Authority. What changes is how many job types and areas get a page, not the method. See the full web design process.

Emergency or renovation

which half you want

Most plumbing businesses want more of one and are drowning in the other. The mix you want decides what the home page leads with, what gets a page, and which searches are worth building for at all.

Jobs and licences

drains, hot water, gas

Every job type you take, written the way it gets searched rather than the way it gets invoiced, with your plumbing licence and gas fitting authorisation where a customer reads them. Blocked drain and hot water repair are separate searches, so they are separate pages.

Proof off your phone

before and after

Finished bathrooms for the renovation half, and the ugly ones for the emergency half: the collapsed pipe, the drain camera still, the tap that had been leaking into a wall for a year. This is the step that stalls builds, so we tell you exactly what to send.

Structure and search

decided before design

One job and one search per page, and the two paths kept visibly separate so an emergency caller never lands in the renovation gallery. Colour and layout come after this is settled, and get signed off in writing.

Build and launch

Astro, then live

Built on Astro with Tailwind. 95+ Lighthouse, under 2.5 seconds, Search Console connected and the sitemap submitted on launch day, so the site starts being found rather than sitting there.

Why usPlumbers across Australia
Built for both customersThe emergency path and the renovation path are designed separately and kept apart. Most plumbing sites pick one by accident and lose the other
The call-out fee, statedWhatever your number is, saying it beats hiding it. The customer ringing four plumbers at midnight is filtering on exactly this, and silence is what gets you filtered
A page per job, not per tradeBlocked drains, hot water, leak detection, gas fitting and burst pipes are five different searches. One page headed Our Services ranks for none of them
Licence and gas authorisation up frontTwo separate numbers, and a customer letting a stranger near a gas line wants to see both. They belong on the page, not in a footer nobody scrolls to
Finished work, not stock tapsReal bathrooms and real repairs off your phone. A stock photo of a smiling plumber with a wrench is the fastest way to look like the other three quotes
Fixed price, three weeks$1,800 for the Starter, agreed before anything starts, live in three weeks. You quote before you start a job and so do we
InvestmentFixed price. No variations.

The Starter

$1,800

3 to 5 pages covering your main job types and your main area, with your licence, your call-out expectation and a tappable number throughout. Live in 3 weeks.

The Growth

From $3,500

5 to 10 custom pages, one per job type you want more of, plus 30 suburb pages so each area you drive to has something of its own to rank with.

The Authority

Book a call

10 to 20 custom pages and 50 suburb pages, built for a business running several vans across more than one council area, or splitting domestic and commercial work.

Every package is a fixed price, agreed before any work starts. After launch we keep the site running on a monthly support plan, and any build can run on any plan. See what every package includes.

Plumber Website Design questionsStraight answers. No nonsense.

What people ask before they book.

Seven things: the job types you take written as separate pages rather than one services list, the suburbs you cover, whether you do after-hours work and what the call-out fee is, your plumbing licence and gas fitting authorisation, photos of your own finished work, real reviews, and a phone number that can be tapped from any page. The call-out fee is the one most plumbers leave off and the one customers are most actively looking for at midnight.

Newcastle Web Co builds a 3 to 5 page plumbing site for $1,800 fixed, delivered in 3 weeks, with SEO, schema and Google Business Profile alignment included rather than sold separately. A fully custom build with 30 suburb pages starts at $3,500. Across the Australian market a trade website is commonly $2,000 to $8,000, and a template job under $1,000 usually arrives with no search work in it at all.

Yes, or at least a range and what it covers. The argument against it is that a competitor can undercut you, which is true and mostly beside the point: they can ring and ask anyway. The argument for it is that the person comparing four plumbers at 11pm is filtering on price certainty, and the ones who hide it get skipped rather than called. Stating it also cuts the calls from people who were never going to book, which is time back on the tools.

Yes, if you want either of them to rank. Blocked drain Cardiff and hot water repair Cardiff are two different searches with two different results pages, and a single page headed Our Services competes properly in neither. This is the single biggest structural difference between a plumbing site that gets found and one that does not, and it is why the Growth build includes 30 pages rather than five.

Emergency work is the half that most depends on it. Emergency customers have no relationship with you, no referral and no patience: they search, they scan, they ring. That is the purest form of a website doing its job. The part worth thinking about is that emergency work is also the least profitable and the worst for your evenings, so a site built only for it tends to lock in the mix you already have rather than change it.
