WEB DESIGN PROCESS Five steps. No guesswork.
Newcastle Web Co follows a five-step web design process. Discovery, research, strategy, design, then launch, each one finished and signed off before the next one starts. Starter builds go live in 3 weeks.
Built to rank from day one. Every step signed off before the next one starts, so nothing gets built twice.
Five steps.No guesswork.
Most sites that never rank were built without a process like this one. Pages with no keyword target. Layouts signed off too late to change cheaply. Schema bolted on at the end, if at all.
The same five steps run on every build, Starter through to Authority. What changes is the number of pages, not the method. See what each one covers on the website packages page.
Discovery
we learn your businessWe start with a full briefing. Your goals, your customers, your competitors, the areas you service and the kind of site you want. Nothing gets assumed. Everything after this is built around what you actually told us.
Research
we audit your marketA full competitor keyword audit across every suburb and service you want to win. We find every term your competitors rank for, every gap they have left open and every opening to outrank them. That map becomes the SEO foundation of your site.
Strategy
we plan every pageSite structure, URLs, one target keyword per page, meta titles, meta descriptions, heading order, schema type, internal linking and a content plan. Every page is planned before design starts. Nothing gets built without a reason to rank.
Design
direction set, then we buildYou show us the sites you like, the layouts, the feel, the motion, and we talk the direction through together. Starter builds use a proven professional base adapted to your brand. Growth and Authority builds are designed and built from scratch for your business. One revision round is included once it is on staging.
Launch
we bring it to lifeBuilt on Astro and Tailwind CSS. Sub-2.5-second load times, 95+ Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals passed. Schema markup live on every page, Google Search Console connected and the sitemap submitted. Starter builds are finished in 3 weeks.
A site you're proud of
Starter builds are polished, professional and adapted to your brand. Growth and Authority builds are designed and built from scratch. Every tier is fast, sharp on a phone, and looks like it belongs to a business worth ringing.
A site Google ranks
Sub-2.5-second load times. 95+ Lighthouse. Schema on every page. Built to rank from launch day, not three months after it.
A site AI recommends
Structured for Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. When someone asks an AI for your service in your area, your site is built to be the answer.
Every build runs this process, and we keep the site running after launch day. That is the part most studios hand back to you. More on why we build this way.
What clients ask before we start.
Starter builds of 3 to 5 pages are delivered in 3 weeks. Growth and Authority builds are fully custom and take longer. Newcastle Web Co confirms the exact timeline at your consult, before any work begins.
You are involved at two points: the briefing in step one and the design sign-off in step four. Newcastle Web Co handles everything in between. Most clients find the process takes less of their time than they expected.
A 30-minute briefing call, any brand assets you already have such as a logo and colours, and a few examples of websites you like. We take it from there.
Yes. Content changes are made by us and are covered by your monthly support plan. Maintain is $50 a month and covers two small edits, Momentum is $200 a month and adds a suburb page and a blog post every month, and Scale is $550 a month for four to six suburb pages, four blog posts and 48-hour turnaround. Any build runs on any plan. Work outside your plan is quoted and agreed before it is done.
Discovery, research, strategy, design, launch. Every step signed off before the next one starts, so nothing gets built twice. Starter builds go live in 3 weeks at a fixed price, with the scope agreed before we start. Tell us about the job, there is no obligation.
